Alternate Air Distribution > Low Temperature Air > Buildings

Unlike many designers, our low temperature air buildings only provide low temperature air on the peak load days - the supply air temperature is continually reset as required to minimize tenant complaints and fan and chiller plant energy, in that order.  It does no good to have minimum fan energy if the tenants are always cold in the interior zones, and the system is always in reheat.   Reducing the overall cost of operation while maintaining tenant comfort is the driving goal.

The use of low temperature air can reduce fan energy by 50% or more in a facility, when coupled with our proprietary control system sequences of operation.

On many buildings that were originally designed with inadequate supply air volumes to meet the needs of todays’ computer-laden tenants, the conversion to low temperature air distribution is an  extremely cost effective means to satisfy the cooling loads.
